Travel Bursaries

Neuroscience Ireland provides bursaries for early career researchers (PhD students or postdoctoral researchers) to attend international conferences each year.

The application form can be downloaded by clicking at the link here: NSI Travel Bursary Application Form. Please complete the form and include evidence of submission/acceptance of your  abstract for either an oral or poster presentation well as a letter of support from your supervisor/mentor .

In this round we will be assessing applications for travel to any neuroscience conference including FENS in June. Applicants do not have to present but those presenting (poster/oral) may be prioritised.

Please note that the next deadline is Friday 12th April 2024, with up to 300 euro being provided to both the early career researcher AND supervisor. Both must be members of NSI.

Technical note: The form must be completed and submitted in one sitting, there is no save function therefore please have ready the following: text of a letter of support from your PhD supervisor ready to paste into the form, your own and the supervisor/sponsors NSI membership ID, the details of the conference, the abstract title, authors, affiliations and text and finally, a brief explanation of your access to funding to support conference attendance with justification for your bursary request.
