Travel Bursaries

Neuroscience Ireland provides bursaries for early career researchers (PhD students or postdoctoral researchers) to attend conferences each year. 

In this bursary scheme we will be assessing applications for travel to any international neuroscience conference. Eligibility criteria include membership of NSI, membership of an academic sponsor and that the applicant is the presenting author and has not previously been awarded an NSI travel bursary. Applicants who are presenting orally will be prioritized. 

Application for travel to any international neuroscience conference: Travel bursaries of up to €300 are available to help Early Career Researchers from across the Island of Ireland with expenses for attendance at any international neuroscience conference.

To apply, simply submit an application form here by one of our upcoming deadlines12 noon on Thursday February 27th, May 29th, August 14th and November 13th 2025. We hope to communicate outcomes shortly after each deadline.
