Dear NSI Members,
It is with great pleasure that we bring to your attention the Regan Symposium on Neuroplasticity in Brain Function and Dysfunction. This symposium pays tribute to the contribution in the area of memory-associated neuroplasticity of Prof Ciaran Regan who very sadly passed away in October last year. The symposium will take place over 2 days Thursday and Friday, 24th and 25th September 2015 in the Moore Auditorium, UCD O’Brien Centre for Science, University College Dublin.
The first day of the Symposium will include talks from World Leaders whose research is at the cutting edge of our understanding of neuroplasticity in Health and Disease. The speakers on the first day include Professors Frank Walsh, Karen Ashe, Melitta Schachner, Michael Rowan, Marina Lynch.
The second day will feature talks from colleagues who worked in the laboratory of Prof Regan and who now direct substantial research initiatives in both academia and industry. The symposium will end with a keynote talk from Professor John O’Keefe, recipient of the Nobel Prize in 2014.
Attendance is free but places are limited by the capacity of the auditorium and so it is very important to register. As demand for places is high, please register as soon as possible for the Symposium at http://www.ucd.ie/sbbs/regansymposium/. This site also has more information about the symposium.
Please circulate this to anyone you think who might be interested in attending the Symposium.
