Travelling by bus to Galway:
Note: Because of the number of bus companies serving the Dublin Airport to Galway route, a bus departs from the airport every 30 min or so. Due to the frequency and convenience of the bus connections, travelling by bus is the recommended option. We recommend that you simply take whichever bus is departing next. The tickets can be purchased on the bus (with cash) and there is no need to book tickets in advance. Please also take note of the Dublin Airport pick-up points for GoBus, Citylink, Eireagle and Bus Éireann (Zone 13).

Travelling by train to Galway:
There is no direct rail link from Dublin Airport to Galway. To travel to Galway by train, you must first take a taxi or bus to Heuston Station from where the train departs. However, due to the frequency of the bus connections, travelling by one of the above bus companies is the recommended option.
Note: There is no direct rail link from Shannon or Knock Airports to Galway.
