Pioneers of Irish Science: A History of Brain Science in Ireland

Exciting book launch for Irish Neuroscience

The Long Room in Trinity College Dublin was the venue on the 21st March 2022 for the exciting book launch and latest offering from authors Dr Zsuzsanna Zarka (Maynooth University), Prof Áine Kelly (Trinity College Dublin) and Associate Prof Richard Roche (Maynooth University), left to right in picture above. The event was attended by enthusiastic scientists from around Ireland and the book warmly received.  The book contains biographies of fifteen significant figures in the global history of neuroscience who spearheaded important developments in brain science. Excitingly, the book reveals an as yet untold story of Irish influence in the rich history of brain science.  Everyone at Neuroscience Ireland would like to congratulate the authors in bringing this amazing account of Irelands contribution to Neuroscience to publication and wish them every success with the book.
