9th Neuroscience Ireland Conference, 1st-2nd September 2015, Dublin City University

The 9th Neuroscience Ireland Conference will take place at Dublin City University on 1st and 2nd September 2015 on the theme “Frontiers in Neuroscience: Diseases and Treatments”. Headlined with a DCU Nobel Laureate Series Lecture by Prof. Thomas Südhof, shared winner of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2013, the meeting will highlight recent advances towards cellular and molecular definitions of neuronal communication in health and disease. Special emphasis will be placed on innovative neurotherapeutics and their relations to the Pharmaceutical Industry, especially in Ireland. With a strong line-up of International and National speakers, an exciting, multi-disciplinary programme will showcase major discoveries across a number of topical facets from Neurochemistry to Neuroscience in Society, through focussed sessions on Pain and novel analgesics, Endocytosis, Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy, Neuropsychopharmacology of Drugs of Abuse and Addiction, and the contribution of Neuroscience to the Law.
